The two bickering figures, Father Don Camillo (Terence Hill) and Mayor Peppone, are perhaps the most legendary adversaries of the Po Valley. In a sort of love-hate relationship, they make each other's lives difficult with their fundamentally different worldviews. The modern Don Camillo now rides roller skates and even attempts to perform a wedding ceremony as a parachutist.
